Essence is holding their Young Women's Leadership Conference in Atlanta and Washington, D.C., November 1 and November 8, respectively.  In Atlanta it will take place at the Americasmart Atlanta, and in DC it will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.  You will get a chance to meet the celebrity panelists, and meet Essence editors.  If you are young and you are a woman, you need to be there! 

Q: What is the Young Women's Leadership Conference?
A: The Young Women's Leadership Conference: Jumpstart Your Future! was created to address the needs of young, Black women as they prepare to leave college and begin their careers. Each event will be a day of empowerment, that will provide these young women with the tools and information they will need to unleash their brilliance, fuel their success, and fully realize their potential as they navigates this exciting and challenging period of their lives.

Q: When and where is the Young Women's Leadership Conference going to be held?
A: The Young Women's Leadership Conference will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at AmericasMart Atlanta in Atlanta, GA and on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.

Q: What is the cost to attend the Young Women's Leadership Conference?
A: Early registration = $35.00 valid through October 6, 2008
General registration = $45.00 valid October 7 – November 8 (or until sold out)

Q: What is included in my registration fee?
A: The registration fee covers admission to all general and workshop sessions and the sponsor and recruitment vendor area for the one-day conference. The registration fee also includes a 1-year subscription (12 issues) to ESSENCE magazine—a $6 value.)
(Travel, lunch and hotel accommodations are the responsibility of each attendee.)

Q: How can I register?
A: Through our online registration system. Please be prepared to pay by a credit card or by money order. (Money orders must be received within two weeks of your registration.)

Q: Will I receive a confirmation of my ticket purchase?
A: Yes, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?
A: There is a $15 non-refundable cancellation fee that will be applied should you cancel up to 30 days prior to the event date. Cancellations made 29 days prior to the event or no-shows will be billed in full. Transfers will not be permitted.
